Where is the TI calc Community?

Yeah... but everyone should just come here more often and it'll be great fun again. Just like old times.

It would be. I know the TI community isn't dead. In fact most high schools still pass out the 84's. So how do we get people back?

I had an awesome spike of activity when I did a contest for my site. lol

Otherwise.. Not sure. Attract programmers to post here only about their projects. My forums have died off as well. :/

Not dead, just slow I guess... Not like that's the first time there was a big slowdown. I wish I could be around like back in the days but no time for that. Hope all of you guys are doing well!

Hello everyone. I found this site recently as I was looking for some programs or applications for my TI-84. My college math instructor told us we might be able to find a factoring app/program out there. Well I was excited to try the site, but see there isn't much action here. I found this thread wondering where everyone was. I can say, with all do respect, that for Zachary940 to ask why people aren't here I would have to say look at some of your (Z940) responses. One in particular stood out to me. Someone was asking for help and Z940's response was "read the manual". I learn in a much different manner than reading a manual, in fact looking at a manual just doesn't register with me. Showing me or guiding me is much more helpful. So I can see where that person would have said goodbye to the site. It's just my opinion and you know what they say about opinions. I'm still looking for a factoring app (and help understanding how to make it work).

Someone recently got an N-spire, and was INspired to returning to this site.
YEEEAH

Enough memes forever. Sorry to bump but I am devestated at amount of "recent" topics that are a year dead, if we get a team together to work on bumping activity I think we could have a lot of fun, have some mods and admin email people with accounts to return, etc. Maybe we should make a thread about this, I have some ideas.

edit:
Also if some programmers got back into programming, I'm thinking of a few things to do, I want to revisit ESCAPE, stuff like that.
Speaking of programming, we should expand the android forum a bit, as excited as I am to try 3D pong on my phone and maybe it'll work on my tablet I think we should develop a bit of community there too, I'll get involved in other android dev sites, etc.

Speaking of which I should really get rid of that other account.

Does this count as a double post?

I don't think people nowadays think of calculators as very important. Plus it really is a hassle to search, download, and install all those programs, games, and apps. If there as an easier way without having to use TI's clunky and old TI-Connect software, I think more people wouldn't give up when looking for programs/apps. (btw, who plays calculator games when you can play games on a phone.. or laptop?) This is the reason why fewer and fewer people are being active in the community... and TI decided to release their almost locked-up Nspire that has barely any programming capability.. One would wonder why there isn't much activity anymore.

and there is the rant that hopefully explained why^

but yea people need to come here more often...
