Hey everyone,

I'm new here at calcg, I'm really excited to get into calculator programming. I've been playing uncle worm non stop for the last couple weeks and have about a 6 month background in programming with C++. Just wanted to say hi. I'm about to start reading the Texas instruments Developers Guide as a starting point my goal is to get programming as soon as possible. I just wanted to open this up to here about any fun stories people have about their TI devage :).

Cool, so your going to try Assembly programming? Have you learned TI-basic yet? Although if you know C++ ti-basic would be a lot easier to learn.

Oh, and WELCOME!

hey calcproductions,
No I have not learned TI-basic yet. Should I learn this before I start into the TI Dev Manual?

I think you should, but it is a personal choice. Any way welcome.

It is much easier to suggest solutions when you know nothing about the problem.

That's funny advice coming from two people who have never scratched the surface of ASM. If the assembly manual makes sense to you, then go for it. If it doesn't, there are several user-made tutorials around that you might try.

Well your advice was pretty much the same as ours. We just didn't state the obvious fact that if you already understand it, then there's no need for the previous language.

LOl and so it begins,

Don't think I haven't been reading the forums, Its always the three of you guys having your little disputes ;) I'm going to start reading the Dev Manual tonight and report back on how it is. I think I may use the journal feature provided by this website to document it all. Anyways either way thank you very much for all your input.

Yay for new people. Welcome! All I know is basic but if you want a good site for that try here I like it. Oh I see they changed the design, much less classy.
