Posted: 8 Sep 2008 19:38 GMT Total Posts: 1111 | The biggest difference that I know of is that VB.NET uses the same framework as the other .NET languages (J#, C#, Visual C++, ect). I'm not sure what Visual Basic depends on, but I would waste time with either. Both are highly dependent on Windows, deviate strongly from an acceptable model of computer processing, use stupid syntax, and leave the programmer highly dependent on visuals. Are you familiar with Java or C++? I personally like the former because of how cross-platform and web-friendly it is, and the latter because it's awesome .
