Here is something weird that was in a web comic I found.
31 in base 8 equals 25 in base 10. Another way to say base 8 is Oct, and another way to say base 10 is Dec. So Oct. 31 equals Dec. 25. In otherwords Halloween equals Christmas. It's a conspiracy!!!

It would be, if it weren't for the fact that 8 is August and 10 is October.

Edit: Although if there ISN'T an error in that part, there's still the fact that 1=2.

1=2? That dumb equation doesn't work because you have to divide by zero to make it work, but most people don't realize that you're dividing by zero because you only see variables. 1 never = 2.

Whoa, that's amazing, none of us figured that out. We all thought that our minds were screwed and we should go home and sleep. After all, being the geeky people we are, we suck at realizing the obvious.

Regarding that link you gave us for 1=2, if anybody actually believes ANY of those arguments, they're retarded. You can't just assume that you can divide by zero. After falsely concluding you CAN, and that 1=2, sure, you can come up with all crazy stuff. I can falsely conclude tons of crazy mind boggling stuff. Dumb.

you should all calm down
it is a matter of relativity and ur reference so for example;
Look at how you usually count. 6 x 9 = 54. But what is 54? It is 5 groups of 10 plus a group of 4 ones.

What is 133? It is 1 group of 10^2 (otherwise known as 100), plus 3 groups of 10 (usually called 30) plus a group of 3 ones.

Now, in base 13, you count by 13's and not by 10's. So,

6 x 9 = 42 and what does that mean?

Well, it means 4 groups of 13 plus a group of 2 ones. Translate that back into the counting you know: 4 groups of 13 plus a groups of 2 ones; which is 52 + 2 = 54.

and same thing in base 10 and 8
3 eights and 1 one = (3x8)+1= 24+1=25
and 2 tens and 5 ones is 25 too
so think of it ....................
