I agree it is a pain, but unless someone with mad asm skillz wants to make an app to hook a menu of some sort in to the TI-OS and give us access to all them little characters, I don't know of an easier way to get at them.

Not sure how I am gonna design things yet. I might implement my scrolling menu stuff into the items system, just have to figure out how I want to do it. In the mean time, working on adding the other little things for the misc npcs.

That should take next to no time to implement, though I am probably going to have to put it in a seperate program as well... >.< That way, I can set up the cursor to flash in the correct spots based on where the character is at on the maps. So much fun. :)

I managed to get the map integrated in, only viewable through Gary's house rigt now, with a blinking cursor. Once you are able to get a copy of the map from Gary's sister, I already have the current maps set up to blink when viewed. I fixed the saving problem where it would not rearchive the save program, and I made it so it would actually quit the game.
Update: This game currently sits at 73,978 bytes, roughly 9% complete.

This menu is going to be pretty darned important, so I have to come up with something that will work. I am hoping for a solution to come to me in the next couple days, so I might still get a beta out by this weekend. Not looking that good though... :/

And what is not working about it is the fact that the Text Display program is not going to the program like it should when it sees that character. I still have a couple more things to try, so I will see what crops up from that...

As to the yes/no menu box... I already have the yes/no menu part programmed in. It is the text displayer that is not accessing that menu program. Well, it is now, partially.
If you let it just display the text normally, it brings up the menu jut fine. Right now, I have to figure out how to get the line by line display routine to recognize it. Once that is done, I can finish off the npcs, and events :D Then on to interior maps :)

If Gene was still here then he would go insane just from the thought. You are extreme. I can see why you'd combine them though. Star Trek is more about the Technical Specs of the Sci-Finess where as Star Gate deals more with mythos. Wow when you get it done; get a (C) Copyright, get it published. I will buy. Wow it sounds xtreme.
P.S. Off topic, but it seems as if authors are just popping up this year alot more than ever. Can anyone explain this phenomenon?
