to Philly:
secure server is more than just an extra letter. it's a server that is capable of handling the encrypted requests (128 bit encoded data). in order to do this, we'd have to have this feature installed. i guess ticalc does have a secure server capability which we do not. we don't really need such a feature anyway but it's generally available in another hosting package form our host.

thanks, z.
alright everyone, the time has come for the takeover. with only 9 downloads remaining, sam heald may take over the number one position tonight. of course, i would tell you to download mario asap, but some people would just download hk's games instead to delay. check back every hour on the hour to witness the biggest thing since sliced bread...well, not really, but its still pretty interesting.

at the time that i checked, it was as i said. now, somehow, its 18 dls to overtake. i wish people would stop downloading hk and delaying the process.
btw, i've noticed that calcgames.org is within 6 authors of reaching the 100-author mark. if anyone out there knows some programmers with quality files, but doesn't have them on the net, tell them to submit them to calcgames.org and hopefully it will reach the mark within the next month.

Now it's 28 DL's to overtake. Besides, no one said the DL's had to progress in a steady rate, it's almost random this time of year.

omg, its 30 to overtake now. whats going on? is there someone out there who's doing this on purpose? speaking of which, who do you all think better represents this site, sam heald or hitoshi koizumi? that is, who would you rather be the top downloaded author for the site, the mario guy or the king of ti-83+ basic?

SH jumped ahead 200 DL's in the past 2 days, reason, unknown, maybe a surge in weekend game hunters.

Okay okay Philly, I've just posted a news article. Go check it out and be sure to drop a comment. I was busy like hell with my job for the pas 3 or 4 days and never even had time to check the site. Anyway, here's the article. Let me know if I missed any important features so I can edit it if necessary.
