Total Posts: 542 | I clicked on my game, Starcraft Protoss to see how it was going, and it was 292 downloads, but when i click my author profile, it says there are only 242 downloads. is there a major delay or is there a bug in the system?
and the same goes for my other games. they have the same problem.
my only guess (if this isnt a bug) is that the game file shows the exact number of downloads, and the author profile shows individual downloads. but shouldnt they be the same anyways? cuz thats confusing.

Total Posts: 2486 | Our download system will also not count clicks made from the same person that uploaded the game (e.g. when you're logged in) as well as have a certain redownload timer per file per ip. This is done to prevent click fraud and help maintain more lealistic number, it'd good for the author too since they can download their files not worrying about that messing up their number. As with page caching, only the modified paged get recached, and it happened at the time of modification. I think your download click just wasn't counted due to the reason above.

Total Posts: 1676 | pages are re-cached when someone updates a file or adds a new file to the archive... so generally not more than 2 days... the "File Stats" page is always up to date.
