It's the best, you have to admit it.

No, 83 is one better, can't you count? duh. TI-83 minus TI-82 = 1. TI-83 IS the best. You have to admit it.

If you exclud the 68K calcs, the 86 reigns above all. If you enclude them, the the V200 wipes the floor. The TI-89 Titanium will be teh V200s queen when released too.

Yes, I've never really understood the 86, it seems like a lone duck in TI's line of calcs...

yeah, my friend had an 86 so i played around with it for a while. in terms of ease-of-use, i'd say 83 series are the best but 86 is the most powerful calc in the z80 family. it actually has really good grayscale and 8level gray looks much better on it than on 89 (once 89 went HW2, grayscale got F'd). i even had a gray32 thing on that 86 and it looked okay. i'd say the best possible gray on 86 was 16level but small memory size made this nice feat useless. as of now, i agree with D's statement regarding the calc kind (and uhm...queen...)

oh btw D, plz email me today because i have some stuff to discuss with you about the new Tankers tileset, i think i may have some ideas.

Actually the TI-86 isn't really a loner, since there's the ti-85. But it is a loner for current line.

In terms of specs, V200 is the best. But it's unfortunately you can't use it on exams.

89 is best for high school stdents, considering they allow it on almost all AP exams, and the SAT/SAT II. also, the 68k calcs have better math software than 83+, etc. But i agree w/ Z, the button layout and ease-of-use is better on the 83+/SE and 84+/SE. oh ya, i found my 83+ today, so now i have two calcs! YaY!!!

The 86 is a good calculator to go with if you don't want to have to worry about which exam allows the 89 and which one doesn't.

speaking of exams, they don't allow me to use my 89 in college so 86 would make it the best calc that can be used on tests/exams. tho, i wouldn't spend money on one since i already have a 83+. 86 is a decent calc overall, thought it's still a bit pricey in the stores so 89 makes a much better purchase.

I think the TI-83 plus is a very good calc. It's easy to use, hard to master, and my school allows it on exams. Plus, it has one of the largest groups of BASIC programmers, which actually makes it more difficult for me to get noticed in the community....

I thought it wasn't too difficult to master. Then again, that was quite a while ago...
