They are way over price. Infact my mp3 holds more, has an FM Radio, Digital recorder, plays video, pics, and .txt files.
And dont even get me started about iTunes

Total Posts: 542 | im with you all. My mp3 cost alot less then a iPod and i can do sooo much more for less $$, and the quality is better. I decide what goes on my MP3, basically any file and type i want.
and that zune... please... you transfer files between friends and it disappears with in three days... COME ON! thats alot of bs... who wants a system that delets stuff automatically?

I really like iTunes, and iPods are nice, but iPod phone is just dumb. The Zune is MS's attempt to compete with Apple, and it's not working.

The worse part about the iPhone is that there will be no third-party apps allowed, be default. That sucks. But hey, they cracked HD-DVD already (and Blu-Ray?), so that shouldn't take long. But still, not going to buy one nonetheless.

Total Posts: 289 | Wow. I personally thought that the ipod phone looked like it would be too muuch stuff in one for me to handle. I think I would go nuts trying to keep it all straight. And I kind of got the impression that the zune was a way to compete with apple when it first started to come out.
EDIT:Oh and I thought that was a wonderful way to start off the disscusion 3fg.

Total Posts: 2486 | Yeah, both are garbage. Zune is nice for video quality but isn't very pretty and battery life sucks, not to mention the ruined wi-fi feat which could have been so nice. I'm not going to even comment on ipod, since I do not favor anything proprietary nor ridiculous accessory price it carries. As with iphone, it looks nice and screen is pretty but that nice big touch screen and phone don't (it looks more like one should keep it home from harm's way, design albeit nice isn't practical at all) mix well since it will get destroyed fast. Apple didn't even give a screen protector or place to mount one. No manual buttons means if you mess up touch screen you're totally screwed. Price is also very high, comparing to other similar units or even a smartphone w/ a memory card. If I were to spend that much money on a phone/pmp I'd get a Sony P9xx series phone instead. I'd go with one of the creative players or an iriver player. My 2 cents guys.

I have 3 friends that have a zune and guess who got to teach them how to put movies on them :) anyways i like the zune interface - kinda. the new iPhone is a joke i laugh at apple for being so stupid as to not worry about copyright i saw the Cisco/Linksys iPhone about 7 months ago then when this came out i was like um.. that names already taken. I hope Cisco sues Steve Jobs pants off for being stupid. also I use Version not this other crap. 4-8g i don't think so if i pay $500-600 for something i want a BA ipod souped up to a phone not a average phone with added ipod support!

Total Posts: 2486 | Lol! I use T-Mobile SDA atm (unlocked of course) and the damn thing is awesome. Plays my anime and other flicks I dumb on the card, makes a nice pmp with TCPMP proggy. Running Windows make is compatible with tons of free software and xml for homepage and menus make us easy to customize. Phone features and call quality are excellent. Has wi-fi so you get all the goodies faster at work and hot spots. I got mine new for just $150 but they now retail for less than $300 which is awesome for that phone. Only thing is that people with fat fingers will have troubles with this one, it has rather smallish buttons. It's also not a glamor phone but it doesn't look bad or cheap either. Just though I might spread the SDA info. :)

(Note: Linix is a freeware others sell modifide versions. Just want to make this clear that i know this and people don't think I'm stupid) To bad i got my copy of XP Pro and server for $10.

Total Posts: 2486 | Yeah, lol! Tons of companies try to monopolize the market but that doesn't make it a correct or good thing. Now that you brought up M$, Apple is no different charging people ridiculous money for their stuff. iPods for instance has the least amount of features than other players and yet cost more. Their accessories are overpriced too. Thinking of that reminds of the game consoles and crazy fees companies pay to develop for them which in turn come out of buyers pocket. Go open source (though, people need to donate money to open source software so that they can stay afloat)!
Zachary940: Is that a bootleg version or something? Oh yeah, feel the price of Vista Ultimate. Sigh. Luckily I get a free copy from Intel but doubt I'll switch to it anytime soon. The security means it uses to protect premium content and crap up user's live and investment into hardware is absolutely insane.

I agree on your points I love linux especially the bootable CD's! I dislike IE and love firefox. I am not saying "Microsoft rulez i would take a bullet for them" but they do make good products. So does apple Ipod was a great idea I have one. I got one before the Zune came out. I really wish i had a zune cause i convert a lot of my video files (like tv shows) to ipod format. it kinda suck my 360 can't read that. I hear what your saying Zachary940 I just feel that the best software comes out for the PC. A lot of open source, almost ALL games, free programs, and much more. The mac on the other hand seams a little too "friendly" to me. My biggest beef is Schools. Everyone has a PC and we try to bring our PC files to school and they don't work the same way they worked at home. This usually means taking out cool features so that my powerpoint will run and not glitch on a mac.
