To whoever has administrative powers, I came across this game while categorizing more BASIC games. It should be in the Flash section.

Ok, now everyone can post reviews for files... that whole system is working now. The comments for individual ratings don't work... just include your comments in the main comment section (the comments for the sub-ratings weren't ever getting used correctly... EVER).

Do you plan to reimplement file reporting (in the case of bad programming)?

I fixed a bug with the image uploader that caused the avatars and profile pictures to not display at all with certain browsers. If you want, you can upload your avatars/profile pictures again and it will fix the problem (it's only a problem on like 1% of all computers in the world).

These are probably the best forums I've seen. Easy to navigate and stuff. Is there a feture that tells you when someone makes a new comment on the topic that you have read?

The topic's bolded if you haven't read the most recent post (and you weren't the poster).

Gosh, the forums would be perfect if there was a good search function. In my opinion, a good search function should allow:
1. exact phrases
2. AND, OR, and NOT
3. case insensitivity
4. searching exclusively in a subuforum
5. searching by post author
6. searches through post content AND topic titles

Do you see the little button at the top of your screen? The one that looks like an arrow (or two, or ten) that point at each other's opposite ends, making a circle-like pattern? Click that. It'll make life a whole lot easier.

Or press this link to lose at life.

Alternatively, bring down the drop-down menu at the top to continue.

If you refresh calcgames.org it takes you back to the news page since it uses frames. Hitting refresh or f5 won't work.

Alternatively, you can right-click the frame with the forums in it and say "This Frame -> Refresh Frame".

Thanks for the answer! problem solved.
@ Barrett: yep it was only on the forum pages and it was in the top right corner, slightly lower than the top of the page.

Barret, on CalcGames, the forum link under the "Site" tab still navigates to the old forum, just in case this wasn't on purpose.

edit: I just noticed that the news link under "Site" also goes to the old news.

Hooray, a search box! I might point out that it's difficult to find the word that's been searched for if a topic is multiple pages long, since there's no indication for which page contains it.

On the author and file stats pages, are they going to eventualy include all of the files and authors or just the first 50?

Yes, we will likely make multiple pages. In the meantime, you can just write a script that goes through the entire website looking at author pages. By doing so you can build a list of all of the authors and their positions.

>Is there anyone who would be willing to be a temporary administrator for the purpose of putting the rest of the files in specific categories? We could use 2 or 3 more people to do it so that it gets done quickly. Afterwards, if you do a good job, you just may become a forum moderator, content manager, or perhaps a full on administrator.

Whew! It took a while, but I've categorized the whole 83/84+SE games section. There are 5 left (out of 366), but they don't deserve to be categorized becuase they don't exist, aren't games, are grouped to a file extension I can't work with, or are too undeveloped to matter. Banjo did around 30 near the beginning, but I did everything else, besides what was already there.

thanks for pointing that out. It's actually really weird that the folder existed but there were no files in it.

Be sure to let me know whenever you find something like that again.

By the way, haveacalc is a global moderator now.

Edit: fixed spelling stuff, didn't want 3fg all over me...

Or at least add skin options for returning them to the originals.

Oh, hey, I just noticed that there are various uncategorized files in various locations throughout the site file section, and I still have categorization powers. I'll start working on them.

Edit: Hey, this file should be in the Projects section, I think.
