Thankfully I am able to get a copy of it before then. Thanks to IUPUI and being a CIT major. Just to give you a compareison Windows 7 starts up with about 35 proccess, compared to the 60 Vista starts up with. There by 7 is a lot more ressorse freindly and is blazinly fast. The only down fall is the amount of custimiztion available to the user. Parts of the OS, such as the login screen, is too colorfull for my taste. Thanks to third party software that can be changed though.
There is also a huge diffrence between the RC and the actual full version. Things are much more stable and don't seem as quriky. From what I can tell 7 will be a great hit to the market. Not only is it stylish but it is fast and stable. Finnaly Microsoft got it right.
Also keep in mind that from now to Oct 22 any new PC you buy comes with a free upgrade to 7.
What do you guys think about all this?

It speeds past anything that I've come across (see OpenCL, Finder optimized in Cocoa, x86-only apps, ect) and is really more of a tweaking-to-perfection than a full-scale OS update, since Mac users weren't in need of that anyway.
To contrast, I had the privilege of watching my friend's quad-core 3.2 GHz desktop running Windows 7 RC1 give a blue screen of death to each of his three monitors last week. It was beautiful. But from all that I've seen of Vista, I agree that Windows 7 will be an improvement. : )
