New ServerBarrett
For the second time in a little less than a year, we have moved to a new server. Until things update throughout the internet, it is possible that you will be forwarded to CalcG.com.

If anything does not work correctly, please make a reply in this thread.

This will be our server for a long time to come, so you shouldn't expect to see any moves for at least a few years. I have posted a reply to this thread with the hardware specifications of the server.

Re: New Serverhaveacalc
Why are calcg.com and www.calcg.com separate? Why not some redirection?

What do you mean? Clarify a bit more what's happening.

Re: New Serverhaveacalc
1) Logging in at calcg.com does not log you in at www.calcg.com, and vice versa.

2) The two remain separate as you navigate throughout the site (the www prefix is never dropped from or added to the address bar).

Re: New ServerBarrett
Is this a problem? Couldn't you just use one of them?

Yes, what you've just explained is how we prefer to have our site set up, but that's not a top priority right now (that feature will come back when calcg.org works).

Re: New Serverhaveacalc
No, I actually don't any reason to care, either.

It's not a problem until people start linking to items on calcg.com or www.calcg.com, when users will end up logging in twice.

Re: New ServerAndy
That would easily be fixed by setting the cookie's domain explicitly to .calcg.com (or whatever). Of course you can't do anything to make it work between calcg.org and calcg.com because cookie security features prevent that from happening...

Also: I HATE THE LOCATION OF THE DAMN REPLY BUTTON. THAT HAS GOT TO GET CHANGED, I KEEP CLICKING REPLY TO OP WHEN I WANT REPLY TO LOWEST POST. >_> <_<
