I don't understand: How am I supposed to get the MirageOS onto my TI-84+SE? Also, I can't figure out how to put games or other file on it.

Uhh... no.

Install the latest TI-Connect from education.ti.com. Then right click on the desired files, select, send to TI device, and there you go.

Also, MirageOS is an Application, it goes straight to Archive.

Send to TI-Device is the second option in the popup menu, for me anyways. It is not in the Send to > option.

Are you doing this from the computer's folder, or through TI-Connect? I don't ever open TI-Connect before selecing files to send to the calc. Go to the folder on the PC itself, locate the file, and then right click it, see if you get the option.

You did install TI-Connect, right? Not just download the installer and do nothing with it?

Also, when you plug in your calculator, is there any type of message that appears and says something along the lines of "Found New Hardware"?

Just to make sure that your calc's detected, open TI Connect and see if your calc shows up.

Did you select which device you'd like to send it to? If I remember correctly from when I used Windows, you should have a listbox.

Is the file extension for the thing you drag ".8xk"?

The name of the file should be "MIRAGEOS.8xk" or similar.

No, that's not what I mean.

When you dragged the icon onto the TI-Connect icon, what exactly was the name of the icon you dragged?

Right click->properties. Near the top, there should be a line titled "Type of file:". What does it say there?

Not the folder, the thing you are dragging to TI-Connect. Right click on it, and click properties.

Unless you are dragging the folder to TI-Connect, in which case, you're doing it wrong. You should open the folder, and drag the thing that has a file type of "TIConnect Application".

Yeah, except those will say "TIConnect Program".

Usually, after you download something, open the folder and look for something like "readme.txt" or <name of game>.txt. These will generally tell you how to install/use the game/program/whatever.
