I downloaded the Ion files to my 84+ s.e., but when I try to run the program, there is a syntax error. I tried the Asm( thing, but then it said Err: Invalid. I have heard that you can't have Mirage and Ion at the same time, so I deleted Mirage, but it still won't work. What do I do?

Use Mirage. It's better and all Ion programs are compatible with it.

Well, a friend once gave me the Lotus Turbo Challenge racing game, and I had it for a while and liked it until it was accidentally deleted, so in trying to find it again I found one on here, but it is uncompatable with Mirage. In the readme, this version said it needed Ion. Is Lotus available somewhere else so I can use it with Mirage again?

Did it actually not work in Mirage? Mirage works as sort of a better, more advanced Ion. Anything made for Ion should work in Mirage.

If you really want to use Ion (not that you should have any desire to) then check your AppVars. Mirage is probably there.

MirageOS isn't an application variable.

No, but it has an application variable with an identical name as the main application. It contains all your mirage settings and stuff.

Why would you even mention the AppVar? That's pointless.

You never know. I could never get Mario to work on my calc for more than three uses on any given download, and now for some unknown reason I can get it to work.

The only reason that you would need to worry about the appvar is if you set the psswd and forgot it.

Or if someone hacked and changed your password.

Of course, if they also blocked you from the Memory menu, you're pretty much screwed without TI Connect.

You (owner of the most recent post in this topic before this post) prove your foolishness even further. To get rid of the keyhook that keeps you from the memory menu, reset the RAM. A possible way to do it is running an empty Assembly program with only this token in it:
AsmPrgm
That gives you access to the memory management menu (triple m).

You (owner of the 3rd post above this post in this topic) prove YOUR foolishness even further by neglecting to mention that in some cases, such as when the keyhook is on archive, the entire archive and possibly the entire calculator's memory, would need deletion.

No. You could just run Mirage and turn it off. If Mirage is passworded you pull a battery at the password prompt and it will reset the ram.

@Zach: Yes that will work.

@Alien-N00btard: Dude. Resetting the ram will NOT delete the AppVar if the AppVar is on archive.

Now I'm not sure that he is mistaking banjo. Yea the appvar is archived. Then explain to me why that when the ram is reset then all hidden programs are no longer hidden.

Did you hear what I said, banjo? When you enable a keyhook using MirageOS, it is only RAM-based! Once the RAM is reset, the keyhook is no longer active. That means that none of MirageOS's settings are in effect until you run it again. So, just stroll on over to the memory menu and delete the AppVar before you run MirageOS! If you know anything, you're able to edit the AppVar as well (not without Assembly, though) to change/get rid of the password and other things. I still have no idea why you mentioned the AppVar in the first place.

...Oh.

But don't diss me that hard though. I don't know ASM, therefore I can't edit AppVars.

DelVar MirageOs //you know, if i deleted the AppVar

Would that work?

You can't manipulate AppVars or programs in BASIC, so no that won't work.

No one makes fun of you or spites you for your lack of experience. What annoys everyone is that you assume that you're correct, despite what experienced people say. Then, you try to mock the experienced people until, finally, you're proven wrong. You then claim that you shouldn't be blamed for your inaccurate comments, due to having little or no understanding of the discussed subject. It's a pattern. What I'm saying is that you should either trust that knowledgeable people know what they're talking about, do some research on the topic at hand, or be a bit less assuming about the correctness of your explanation. I kinda wish that I didn't have to post this, but it would really cut down on flames and fights in the future here if you would heed my advice.
