Major CG updates | zkostik | Recently, we've been working on fixing some of the site's issues. Among which were the menu problems on low resolutions. Now that menu has its own scrollbar so that it can be scrolled not cut off. This should prove very useful for those who use resolutions lower than 1024x768 or those on low res public computers. Also, the site's frames were optimized and some were reused which provides faster load times. Other small fixed were also made here and there. Currently, Barrett is working on major content update and other goodies, so stay tuned. If you happen to have problems with this new update or see any dead links/pages, please take a minute to report them to zkostik@calcgames.org Thanks, I hope you guys like the updates.

| Major CG updates | Barrett | k i added most of it. i did add 86 programs, but the only way you can find an actual link to it is by clicking Projects button (i didn't edit the buttons html for that).. but i added the 89 games, 89 programs, and those 86 programs... to be added is 1 86 game and the links from 92+ to 89 files.

| Major CG updates | chickendude | The projects button or programs button? Anyways, the site loaded incredibly faster than earlier today. The side fram looked better without the scroll bar, though, but I guess it'll work this way too. | | 7 Aug 2002, 17:34 GMT |

| Major CG updates | zkostik | yeah, i totally agree that loading time has improved. the scrollbar in the menu frame does seem a bit out of place, but folks with low res will greatly appreciate it. also, this scrollbar allowes us to more stuff into the menu frame w/t having anything cut off. overall, i think those changes were much needed. perhaps, in future, we'll have some kind of site customization so that people will be able to choose the site's appearance to some degree. i'm glad you liked these changes.
edit: oh, sorry i forgot about you B. very good job with updates. now the 89 program list looks very phat. it seems that it was actually asking for a scrollbar in menu frame ;)

| Major CG updates | Barrett | if we ever get the program reviews database going (hopefully, i don't know if Z's been working on this) then the menu will be dynamically generated and list each recent file individually... i actually have a good layout set up in my head for that but i can't explain it here... so just wait a while

| Major CG updates | zkostik | No, I haven't started working on this yet. I'm just planning some stuff. This is a very large and complicated task to do and will take good deal of time. Review or rating wouldn't be too hard to do, but having all the files/etc. be dynamically viewed is a huge task. I'll prolly start with getting reviewes and rating system to work first tho. Any comments?

| Major CG updates | chickendude | It sounds good to me. Of course, most of your files would be 10/10 or something :) | | 9 Aug 2002, 06:23 GMT |

| Major CG updates | zkostik | well, who knows. if anyone could rate files then people's opinions could vary. i of course hope everyone likes games we make, but listening to other's concerns is also a part of our job since we want everone to be happy with our games.
okay, i'm leaving onto a vacation for a week so i won't be able to reply to any messages. later everyone!
