 | hey Z, i had an idea for stopping people from downloading their file over and over again to help their stats (and this will also keep from people who download any file a few times at one time on accident or cus they accidently deleted the zip)... what we can do is store the IP of the most recent 2 or 3 downloaders, and if the IP of someone who is trying to download the file again matches one of the last 2 or 3, then it won't add 1 to the total downloads. this should work very well. (this won't be HORRIBLE for people behind big firewalls cus chances are that won't happen very often)
what do you think? i have all of the code for recording IP addresses (check out cgi-bin/pic.cgi)
