update: well, i fixed it. maybe i shouldn't have. anyway, i cleared old uploaded file db and it now works. it probably had some paths or whatever from our previous host.

 Posted: 17 Feb 2003 13:53 GMT Total Posts: 2486 | uh oh, i know. i've been out of it for a while but i'll try to look into it again. umm...where did i stop, uh, file updates. anyway, i'll try to get some work done.
these problems actually happen because of the following: old upload script doesn't filter contents and submitted file path and writes them in as-is and due to some invalid characters perl crashes when it read the string. the new uploader is a rather huge project and not only allowes for user file updates it also fixes the above problem. hopefully, i'll have enough free time to finish it soon. so, keep your fingers crossed.
