Total Posts: 2486 | Avatars are usually annoying and just waste bandwidth. If however you can get other people to say that they'd rather have them, the most we'll do is add "remotedly hosted" avatars. That is, you'll have to find some other web storage to upload your avatar and then add a link here. This is to conserver our bandwidth because our current site load already keep us pretty tight under our transfer quota.
Anyway, call our your opinions and maybe something will happen...eventually.

Total Posts: 146 | An avatar is a small graphic 80x80 pixels placed under your user name (sometimes animated). Wormbaby had a good system with remotely hosting. I think Roomwithamoose.com has the same system. I liked that system. It allows you to share small graphics easily if nothing else.

Total Posts: 2486 | not necessarily 80x80 pixels, but your general desciption is okay. avatar is some kind of image one may use to represent themselves (like that pic you're using on AIM). again, we could add it, but i'd first like to see that you're not the only one looking forward to that feature. if others wish to see it too, i'll gladly take time to implement it. aight?
