Does that make sense to you? (REF:http://www.calcgames.org/cgi-bin/files/files.cgi?ID=338) |

We can't really regulate this in any way though. Unless we require people to be logged in to download files (so we can keep track who downloaded files).

we could have it record IP addresses as well (like downloading does). a vote would only count if the username AND ip address are unique to the rest.

I just find it amusing that the person who did that was so stupid that they didn't think to make the number of ratings less than the downloads... |

Posted: 19 Jan 2004 18:39 GMT Total Posts: 2486 | its not votes by the same person, its just that anyone could vote w/t actually downloading a file. this is funny, but here's who have rated this file: 338|calculatorfreakCG,allynfolksjr,Barrett,largeandlarger01,poodlelove r911,calcfreakCG,confused08,Mariolover,spiral
okay people, who actually downloaded and tried it and who just rated it? well, we can probably not count calcfreak since its his file...though, its a common thing for authors to rate their own files and sometimes even review, which i find kind of funny to see.

spiral Wraith Posted: 19 Jan 2004 19:10 GMT Total Posts: 958 | i'd say 90% of the files on calcgames have too high scores, and then the remaining 10% have too low scores (SAS is a 7?? Some aweful games have better ratings). |

But largeandlarger01 also lives where calcfreak does...if they goto the same school, then maybe largeandlarger didn't have to download the file.
BTW, why did you post twice Z? |
