Hey everyone, I'm currently working on a new poll system for the site.
It a big improvement for our current poll. It not only looks better but offers a lot more features such as stats, look at old polls and a much nicer results window which will no longer popup.
This also means we'll no longer have to manually add polls (yes, believe it or not but we actually lived that way for almost two years!) and will have new polls every week or two. We'll also have trivia questions from time to time.

Work is currently in progress on the new poll system and we'll post a link as soon as we finish the basic stuff (check back later for a test link).

well, there was that one geography poll where a significant portion of people couldn't find the PACIFIC OCEAN. If you pointed to a random point on the globe, you'd have a high chance of hitting the pacific ocean, so sad.

Hey, Z, will it be like Ti's polls? With replies and stuff?

I thought that the polls you guys had were great-but making them better sounds cool!

Well, here's a link for a test version. I'm still working on it, so there may be some bugs left. If you find a bug, please let me know so I can fix it.

Features supported:

Polls, Pretty Results, Multiple Polls, Polls Listing with Stats, Old Poll Database ported (though, its missing the dates since our old poll didn't log dates...), IP Logging
Features to be worked on:
Administrator Menus, Trivia Mode, Cookie/User logging
*Play around with this test poll, its specifically for testing purposes*

Go [HERE] to try current version. (Note, if no arguments are given to the script it should display the newest poll. Once you've voted in a poll, you should not get the poll again and should be redirected to the results page instead.)
Thanks to everyone who want to try this out. Please ask any questions or post feedback and suggestions.

Its awfully quiet here, did anyone get to try the poll thing yet? I want it to work stable and be bug free before its released so I'd appreciate if someone can test it to check if I may have missed something. Thanks.

Haven't had time to try. My car is in the shop. The trans started acting up a little over a day ago. My dad had a look at it and said it needed some help. I won't get it back untill tomorrow.

Aww, that sucks. I'm too busy lately and am rather late on oil change. I should get this done asap or else I may regret my lack of attention... gl with your calc D.

Thanks Z, I'm sure you mean car though. the situation turned out that I need a new transmission so it'll be a few more days. I'll test the poll right now since I have some time.
