Edit | You should have a "program of the week/month" thing running. It would be a good idea to showcase some of the higher quality programs frequently.
Also, you should put a small amount of text below the Avatar Link Entry Thingy in the profile editor, suggesting websites that can host pictures, and/or links to three or four self-hosted "default" avatars for those who don't want to upload.

Total Posts: 2486 | POTM/POTW will be possible later once we finish our database transition. As with avatars, a google search yields lots of results and in a few minutes you can have a free host. There are no default avatars for a reason of bandwidth. Besides, all avatars are used by us at the time. If you're up to suggesting some nice generic avatars I may consider adding them.

I also came up with a neat idea... it would be kinda neat to give downloadable computer goodies such as icons (can you even make those?), desktops, pointers, screensavers, etc. It might help promote the site, and it would most certainly be cool. |

If you feel like doing something of that sort we can give you a subdomain to create a small site with those things on it and throw a link here for other to access it.
