Total Posts: 1676 | The popular files section of the menu has been changed. It is now sorted by downloads per (day+1)... the reason it's downloads per (day+1) is so that brand new files that have been in the archives for a matter of minutes with 2 or 3 downloads could have a downloads per day rating of several hundred or thousand (generally the file archiver will download it once immediately to make sure the link works).
Anyway, I think another thing i'll do is add "Top Rated Files" (with at least 5 or so votes). I'm hoping that we have enough (mature) visitors that the "self correcting" aspect will hold true (if a bad file is at the top, someone will see it and rate it down).

Total Posts: 1676 | now ratings have been added to the file stats pages. it will only show a rating if there are at least 5 votes. (and will only include files in the "sortby rating" pages at all if there are at least 5.)

Total Posts: 2486 | Yeah, very nice addition B. We may also want to create a dedicated page with a more detailed stats or perhaps just an extended list of what we see on the side menu just so people can see how other files rank up.
