That looks needlessly complicated, did you look at line 326?

I haven't done anything with the code. I was just on the forum this morning... That is why I thought it might be something serverside...

I shall see what line 326 is...

I don't know. I looked through the source that the error pointed to, and everything looks like I think it should...

Try copying it to another text pad, erasing it the original pad, then retyping it all. That usually works for me...well retype it if it's short.

Haha, forum...short...You obviously don't program web apps johnny. No offense, but there is much more work that goes into the forums than you would ever expect. If you want, TI-freak, I can send you a copy of my phpbb and you can re-copy the source, ours should be the same except sql db's and stuff.

They're smart, so they should be able to figure it out. I don't get alot of that source even though i am decent at php, they have a lot of wierd code snippets and the tab indentations are annoying in such a small space as the text editor is.

Most all programming languages do that to me. I can get them down enough to do basic things and build gradually off those foundations, but it seems like there are some things that I'll never be able to grasp.

Breaking stuff is much easier than fixing it. :-)
Well, you could always comment out that line...that might get rid of the error, and might just cause the script to be worthless, but hey, it's worth a try.

Since you can download the source from the phpBB web site, try looking at theirs. Take a peek at the original script.

As to the breaking comment, I am a master a breaking scripts, though I didn't mess with the code for the forum... :still confused:

It couldn't be the browser, as the error points to a line in code. I tried to look at the .php file, but I didnt have permission. I was gonna compare it with the one in my forum.

You know, without looking too deeply into the code, it's quite possible that there is a problem with your database. Have you tried looking at that?

It looks like someone went in and screwed with your code, unless n***a is one of your banned words and phpbb is having troublee handling that for some reason.

Also, for manual code editing, I highly recommend HTML-kit. Even though its name is "HTML" it supports syntax stuff for pretty much every major language known to mankind.

Heh, gotta love those PHP errors. They're so helpful! Recopy all of your forum html templates. It seems like its missing one and hence dumps you an error. Though, the forum seems to work fine for me (IE, XP Pro SP2)...

From the same archive you go the forum. Though seeing that it works fine, you prolly can just forget about all this. Or is there a specific url that gives errors?

I still can't access the forum. I know it isn't due to an old browser, since I just updated it yesterday.

If I go to the main page, it will not let me view the forum, or to be more specific, I tried messing around with the forum files, and accessing them directly, and they all bring up that same page. I am thinking that deleting and starting over would be best...

And I got the forum via the cpanel.

What browser are you using btw? Try clearing your browser cookies, temp files and such. See if that helps. It does seem like its your browser since the forum worked fine for me and few other guys above.

Actually, it could be because he's an administrator and the problem is only occuring to administrators... It probably just seems fine to us because it never goes to a part of the code that's giving the problem.

I can't either with firefox, and I have a normal browser. Maybe it only does it to users who are consistently logged in (via cookies). BTW, I sent you a PM, it might help.

Alright, I deleted the cookies, temp internet files, and cleared the history, and that allowed me to view the front page, but I cannot get it to go to any of the topics or forums; I still get that error message.

@ Lunchbox: I shall try what you suggested, and I hope I don't royally screw things up for my site...

Are you sure you didnt got hacked? Because I can'T get to the forums me too (I use IE), I get the same error. If I remember correctly you were using a very old version of PHPBB (2.0.6 I think) and latest version avaliable is 2.014. I guess it had a lot of security holes so maybe a hacker got access to your account and screwed up things

You can also just install any of the other forums. Your account has cgi, sql and all that so all you need to do is install some forum since you can't get a built in one to work...
