No, this is not an extremely early April Fool's Joke. No, that is not a typo. Yes, TIVB is finally ready for it's next release.

It took me long enough, I know (it's been over two years since a new version came out). But it's ready, it's been excruciatingly tested by myself (today, actually), and it'll be here asap (as in whenever the lazy admins decide to work on the file queue and after I remember how to submit files).

Sure. There are two ways of my doing so:

A) just tell you
B) tell you where to d/l it.

I guess I'll do both.

TI Visual BASIC is a project of mine that's been ongoing for roughly four years. It is a graphics design engine smoothly written to resemble Visual BASIC format, hence the name. It makes drawing graphics on-calc a lot easier.

You can find the old version (new version hasn't been uploaded yet) in the 83+ projects section.

It's not designed for use by other programs (although if you know what you're doing you can use it as such). It's mainly used for designing graphics that would eventually be stored to pics.

Oh, I see. Is there a way to erase what you have drawn?

Yeah... start over. A clearing command is in v0.5, but I hardly used it, and it was just taking up space, so I axed it.

Hey DSP, please add some screenies to your TIVB file. I think it would really benefit from you doing that.

Yeah, it's a lil hard to do that without VTI, and I have NEVER been able to get VTI to work (plus the fact that I've got a 84+SE, and if I'm not mistaken, VTI don't support that yet).

Okay, I updated it again. I forgot that the version number had changed to v1.0, as it is now a completely functioning beta. D'oh!

Oh, well. I still got it done. I'm celebrating! :smoke:

OK, I updated it again. I figured it might be a good idea to put my name as the author so I get credit for the downloads. D'oh!

One of the other ones, what is it, TiElm?, does support the 84+ -- kinda.

yeah, TilEm can emulate the 84+... but first you have to get a ROM for it, and thats almost impossible... try Tilp, it supposedly can... not that i ever got it to work...(note to admins: im not discussing illegal trading of ROMs)

Me is very excited for you DSP, and kinda sad that you're going off to Iraq though. But, good luck to you and don't come back in a body bag.

P.S. - ROM!

Eh, it's one of the hazards of the job. Although, I hear the base I'm going to is rather safe, so no need to worry.

You need to make another word filter that changes "ROM" to something like "RAM" or "I am a loser n00b" :) .

ROMS R FUN

Yeah I played around with TI-VB some... dood you really need something where you can have something stored into a string in a program then run your program, and have it do it's thing... (I edited the old one so I could do that)

Eh, minor detail. Most peeps don't even know what that is.

BTW, any other suggestions (yes, I thought about putting the ASM alpha-lock program; wait a few years for the next update :D)?

huh... difinitely make it callable (i think i spelled that wrong) from BASIC... that would be soooo cool... and i mean easy to do... you do it right, you can pass it off as a lib and get even more dls...

I think you can make word filters so that it only detects the word as a whole, and not as part of another word.

EDIT: I am the 1000th post in the DSP forums, yay! :)
