Total Posts: 1676 | i was doing some browsing on howstuffworks.com and came accross social security numbers.... and it talks about how they're made, then at the end
"statisticians say that the nine-digit SSN allows for approximately one billion possible combinations!"

Total Posts: 1676 | nah, the people who wrote the article need to be fired. of course! a 9 digit number can go as high as 999,999,999 or approximately 1 BILLION.
