ShockTroop Goliath Posted: 31 Oct 2003 12:35 GMT Total Posts: 170 | Sounds cool. Eh, night license? I don't think we have those. I have the "probation license" which means:
As many family members as seat belts Only one non-family member (6 out of 13 months that it expires? kinda wierd...) Can't drive in the hours of 1-4 AM or something other miscellanea I can't remember
After I get the full license in May these rules won't apply. Kinda wierd about restrictions for 6 months, what about the other 7? Or are you not talking about driving license? lol |

everything past 6 months doesn't really apply to me since it's not provisional if you're over 18... i got my license in january (over a year later than i should have got it) and i turn 18 in a week.

Once we crammed like 12 people in a van, hehe, that was quite interesting. |
calculatorfreakCG Wraith Posted: 1 Nov 2003 12:32 GMT Total Posts: 739 | I wish i was 17 . . . one year to go! (I'm 16)

spiral Wraith Posted: 1 Nov 2003 14:42 GMT Total Posts: 958 | I'm 16 too, my car is a 1990 Volvo 240dl, the air-con almost works :img12: but it runs. Once nice thign about it, is if I floor the gas while stopped, it won't jerk you forward much, in other words, the accelerations sucks. |
calculatorfreakCG Wraith Posted: 1 Nov 2003 15:13 GMT Total Posts: 739 | Yeah, well my car is one of those old,old cars that are sold at the side of the road for 1,000 dollars. But I got it a nice paint job,it's got fire on it!!! It looks really nice-but it sucks. |
ShockTroop Goliath Posted: 2 Nov 2003 11:19 GMT Total Posts: 170 | I'm driving my parents' '94 Dodge Caravan to school. The AC/heater sucks (takes about 30 min to get it to kick in unless you shove some cardboard sheets just inside the grill, even then it's still crap), and it makes so many noises. It also tends to be quite rough and shaky on random days. The back windshield wiper doesn't work so I have to use the rear defroster (hey, it works). I think I'm the only kid driving a van lol. |
Billy Ultralisk Posted: 2 Nov 2003 12:31 GMT Total Posts: 260 | Yes, I was referring to a driver's license above. See, in NYS, if you're 16 you can only drive during daytime (till 9PM). That changes when you turn 18, then you have a full lisence. However, you are able to get a full license ("night license") when you're 17 if you take a Driver's education Course. I took a course when I was 16, so I'd be able to get my night license quickly. And, yes I'm 17 now and have a night license. I drive a 2001 T-Top Camero. I enjoy it :-D There is a down side to the car though, it will suck horribly in the winter, so I'm pulling it off the road when it's snowing. It spins out in the rain and gravel, and I can't even imagine what it would be like in the snow. So I'll be switching to a 1992 Honda Accord with a minor 159,000 miles on it duing the winter. |
