I just saw it right now. I don't know about you people but a demo for Unreal Tournement 2004 was released a short while ago. I'll be downloding it over the next few days (200MB) here at school and home.

Yeah, I too have UT2K3 and am very disappointed by its sucky gameplay. I love the original UT and still play it from time to time. I sure hope 2K4 is more like original UT and it better have Assault mode back!

I never tried the original, but in the short blurb for the demo, there are 10 gameplay modes. You may get your wish Z. The players are much more aesthetic as well. I just began the download. Unfortunately I can't do 200MB in one sitting.

well, i tried the demo. yes, i like it and i think the game will be a lot better than ut2k3. the assault is back which is a good thing, though i kinda like the old assault style better. the new variation of "capture the locations" is a ripoff of BF1942 if you ask me, but works fairly well. especially with those awesome vehicles (i even thought that UT was getting a Tribes 2 feel). bombing run mode sucks, it did ever since the game introduced it. i'd rather see the domination mode. i think that was a fun game. as far as maps go, i love 'em. the design is great, they look good (i expected some more detail though, but generally they look great, esp. that CTF map). full game it says will have 17 weapons and 9 wehicles. we only saw about half of those in the demo. i looked up the game on amazon and its only $35 there, so i guess i'm gonna buy it and we'll see if its fun or not.
oh yeah D, i'm sorry for you coz you're on dialup. i was downloading the demo at 500+ kilobytes a sec...btw, i heard the game will only come out on dvd. its about time coz i'm beginning to hate these huge numbers of install cds (im currently playing SW-Knights if the old republuc which comes on 4 cds...aww).

OT: (i didn't want to start another topic for that) has anyone played Postal 2 - Share the Pain? i got a cd of it from my friend and spent a few days playing it. jeez, this was some really crazy fun. i never knew violence can be so much fun in a game. it had lots of humor too. krotchy toy (he told me "i don't have cojones, i AM cojones!") was the best, but cat shotgun silencer was a nice one too. i usually don't find this kind of games fun, but this one was just great. lol

Hey Z, you have winrar right? Or at least a comression program that enables splicing the files right? If I tell you how to upload stuff to my iDisk, can you put 50MB chuncks on there so I can just download it that way? I think I'll probably get a better transfer speed from that instead of from the main download location. E-mail me if you want to help me out.

Sure, I don't see why not. Email me sometime and we'll setup a connection and take care of this.
