I voted "12+" in the poll.

So far I have nothing constructive to add. Oh, I finally got some of my software back, most of you never heard about it. I'm resurecting my Grand Canyon Chasers project and it was renamed to Mordor Hunting Grounds (I named it that before I even heard of the movies). Well, I'm at a predicament. I'm replacing The Voyager (from Star Trek) with either a B2 Bomber, or the SR-71 Blackbird. I want to know which you guys think is the coolest and why.

B2, stealth with superior flight systems. The SR-71 is an antiquated plane, and has little use anymore. Other than going fast. :-)

It goes fast and high, but has zero maneuverability and barely carries enough fuel to fly itself, let alone weapons. B2 pwns SR-71. But instead of either I would use a B-1: very fast, very maneuverability, high weapons load, some stealth ability. Plus they just look awesome.

I don't know of many places with free meshes and out of those I do know, one B1 Lancer Bomber exists. Whats you guy's take on the F-117 Nighthawk?

F-22 Raptor is better. *cough, cough* :img20:

Sees avatar, thinks about texturing, looks for model. Sorry, no go. I'm currently using an A-10 Warthog and a Hind. Armarments have not yet been fully decided.

Phooey. F-117 would work pretty good then, if you can get it to.

SR-71 goes way faster and is way sleeker than B-2, pfft.

They have different purposes. The SR-71 is meant for recon, and the B-2 for attacking. They suit their respective roles just fine.

Here is a pic of all three. Its large BTW. Do to the settings of the environment, they will be a little harder to see, but I want a black ops look. A few notes: I have to double check the site for a higher polygon F-117, those are not scaled, I need to change the smoothing on the F-117 (stupid error).

Pick one

I hate html. Z, you have a little user interface stuff to do :)

alright, does anyone else think that asm programming isn't really calculator programming. i mean, the end result works on the calculators, but i believe only BASIC can count as a true calculator language.

The language of the calculator is the language its processor "speaks." Therefore, assembly is the only true calculator language.

Of course that doesn't mean there can't be interpreters...

true as that may be, i don't think you grasped what i was trying to say. although asm is in the calc's language and runs on a calculator, i believe that one who programs for it should not be called a calculator programmer persay. after all, programming on a computer and then putting it on a calculator doesn't really qualify as working with your calculator, as BASIC does. My point here is that the people who master BASIC, not ASM, are the true calculator masterminds since they actually work hand-in-hand with the equipment.

Your original posting said that you believe BASIC is the only true calculator language.

However, the language of the calculator is the language of its processor. BASIC is not the language of the processor.

Though I do follow you on working with the hardware, but not necessarily agree...

Bull! "work hand-in-hand" How do you think ASM and C were first brought to the public. People went digging into the OS and learned what made it tick. You can change any little setting though ASM, something BASIC can't. Thats more like hand-in-hand.

Oh, and BASIC is converted to TI's ROM calls which are made in [very bad] ASM.

sure you can do more with assembly, and assembly is better, but you need a computer to use them. instead of being a calculator programmer, all asm and C programmers are doing is computer programming. sure, somebody had to "dig in to the OS" at first, but you even need a separate computer for that. as said before, BASIC programmers are the real experts with actually using a calculator...

Uh-huh. Don't follow. You need to know a heck of a lot more about the calculator to use assembly.

no, you just need to know about computers and specs to use asm. knowing the processor doesn't qualify as "knowing" the calculator. after all, someone that doesn't even own a calculator can program in asm. however, you need the calc to actually do BASIC.

Man Phil-e, your making no logical sense to more than one person. The only reason why you can program BASIC on the calc is because TI made an interface to do so. Guess what there is also an interface to program ASM too. You can find it at calc.org or click here. It the first one. Also, if TI didin't provide the Flash App for BASIC, you would then be forced to program BASIC in GraphLink. Oh, and besides the header information, one can program BASIC in NotePad. In other words, you don't even need a calc to program BASIC.

Ya, digital is right. if you change a BASIC prgm to a .txt file, you can edit it. [yet most of it will be wierd ASCII characters, though].
Also, you really do NEED to know about the calc in order to program it in asm.

Yeah, although the basics of asm are the same for every calc from 73 to 86, their are many hardware-specific differences.

Funny quote.

On a completely unrelated topic, recently I've decided to take up a sport during the summer in case I get bored. I'm considering choosing Mass genocide. I just have to decide on what.

Starcraft, hands down. Thats the best strategy game that exists, Warcraft is puny compared to SC. Even though the engine is outdated, I still regularly play it. If blizzard doesn't make a Starcraft II soon, I'm going to be, um, extremely angry.

The best FPS is probably Halo, but Metal Gear Solid: Sons of Liberty is good too.
