The G5 chips is partially right. A derivative of the G5 architechture is supposed to be used, but there are those who still doubt that and for good cause (price and availability). |

Look at Bungie's website and you'll see this news article. As with XBox 2, these specs are only projected info as the actual hardware doesn't even exist yet. Also, all that and other projected XB2 info is already well known and we even had another thread with a pic regarding XB2. Most game devs do start on new projects and sequels about the time they finish current prjects so there may very well be a Halo 3 in development. Though, its hard to say if its true because there isn't any real hardware to test it on, only words for what XB2 might consist of. Don't forget that XB2 is projected at the end of 2005/Q1 2006 so there will be lots of new hardware and other cool stuff by that time. Just wait and see, and for the time being enjoy the hardware already avaialable. :) Btw, I'm one of these people who doubt the projected specs will be possible in just one year. Many of the feats may just be a marketing ploy. Don't forget that MS is still losing money on every XB sold even with its way outdated hardware by current PC standards. Oh, IBM/Apple only project a 3GHz PPC chip to come out by the end of 2004/Q1 2005. Don't forget that current hi-end PPC chips are VERY pricey and only run a bit over 2GHz each. Whoops, sorry for the long essay. I'll leave all the pseculation to you. There isn't any real info to discuss anyway. Peace.
