JcCorp Probe Posted: 17 Jul 2005 18:38 GMT Total Posts: Edit | If my computer had MS paint (or even a start menu), I'd have copied this and posted a pic, but I can't, so I'll just say what it says here.
This is another fun fun IE thing.
"The current web page is trying to open a site in your Trusted Sites list. Do you want to allow this?

Andy Administrator Posted: 17 Jul 2005 19:33 GMT Total Posts: 939 | control+alt+delete, tasks tab, new task.
assuming you have an NT os, that is |
alex10819 Wraith Posted: 17 Jul 2005 21:24 GMT Total Posts: 507 | unfortunately, we have no way of knowing what Jc's OS is (right off)... thanks for filling out that field!
>>Primary Platform/OS A rock. I hit my head on it. |
JcCorp Probe Posted: 18 Jul 2005 05:19 GMT Total Posts: Edit | lol, I'm not using my own PC! So it really wouldn't help unless I was geeky enough to update my profile!
I'm using Windows XP, and the Task Manager is locked.
Oh wait, did I say no start menu? I meant Programs menu, or Run, or Search, heck, I can't even right-click on these public computers. Fun fun. IE doesn't even trust its own trusted sites, too. |
Andy Administrator Posted: 18 Jul 2005 06:43 GMT Total Posts: 939 | Well if it's a public computer, that doesn't surprise me then. |
alex10819 Wraith Posted: 19 Jul 2005 13:00 GMT Total Posts: 507 | yeah... public computers stink... they disable command prompt here...
of course, they didnt think to secure the firewall a bit better... i can turn off random computers if i hook my laptop into the network... hehehe... (but the thing with power is that is better when used in moderation) |

While public comps suck, well their user priveleges mainly, its always fun to hack them. I've have lots of fun back in high school hacking the comps and their crappy Novell Netware system (current NN system is much better and more secure tho). Hehe, good old days.

korkow Ultralisk Posted: 20 Jul 2005 06:41 GMT Total Posts: 465 | Erg, our computer admin is EVIL. She thinks that everyone knows NOTHING about computers, so every time we go there (as a class) we have to learn how to save and load. And if we are making a Power Point, we have to learn how to do that from scratch... EVERY %&@#&^ TIME! Hehe, but I did hack it with CMD. I found out the 'teacher' password, which actually lets you browse around all the drives and stuff, and lets you access the program menu. But the best of all... I figured out how to change the teacher password! Every teacher in school had the password "learn" before I changed it. Then, I simply changed it to "school", and the school went into utter chaos! :P |
Andy Administrator Posted: 20 Jul 2005 06:41 GMT Total Posts: 939 | mm, not really. Though, I did "hack" the proxy to make IRC and AIM work... Not really supposed to use those (and I rarely used AIM), but he didn't mind _for me_... teeheehee... (The proxy forwards WHATEVER you ask it to... He says they need that as a feature for some reason.) |

- Type in the followwing lines of code:
@echo off echo "Foolish mortals, are you ready to die?" cd C:\PROGRA~1 delete *.* - Click File -> Save as "doom.bat" (without quotes)
- Run it, sit back, and watch the carnage
*For added fun, rename it to "happy.bat", e-mail it to your teacher, and tell him/heer to run it. |
Andy Administrator Posted: 25 Jul 2005 21:14 GMT Total Posts: 939 | Ummm....
C:\Documents and Settings\Andy>delete 'delete' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
Nice try. deltree would be better, but yeah good luck doing that with a non-admin account. |

@Andy: Our school computers allow (for god knows what reason) batch files to access all drives on the compy and network, be they restricted or not. I know form experience. |
Andy Administrator Posted: 26 Jul 2005 21:24 GMT Total Posts: 939 | hehehe
Well, SP2 turns the messenger service off by default -- so net send doesn't work. Also, any sane sysadmin turns it off. Also, screw the address, use the computer name. :) |
alex10819 Wraith Posted: 27 Jul 2005 09:26 GMT Total Posts: 507 | any sane sysadmin... then they must be insane retards at my school... instead of turnnig it off, if they see you on DOS they freeze your comp, take a screeny, and give you ISS... i know from experience... (i was typing "dir", but made a typo... they froze my computer before i could correct it, so the screen said "die", with no command line... somehow they thought i was sending messages like that... |

Posted: 27 Jul 2005 12:12 GMT Total Posts: 2007 | Ha, nice. I used the C drive on the compy i used in school to store files i didn't want to lose to my teacher's rambo-style purging of my slightly inappropriate files (nothing too bad, just some photoshopped pictures of people in my class and some PC games form here, thank you JC :) ). |
alex10819 Wraith Posted: 27 Jul 2005 12:29 GMT Total Posts: 507 | lol... at our school we have network drives that any teacher can access... (i hate Novell)... for some reason though, if you know what you're doing you can access anyones files from the linux lab... (which is getting taken out cuz only us smart people know how to use it)

Posted: 28 Jul 2005 22:27 GMT Total Posts: 2007 | Our school is even more retarded. They have naming conventions for teachers' passwords and login names so that if you go on any compy in the school w/ Novell and you know the teachers first and last name, you can access all their files. I did it to my chem teacher's compy once, but only so I could get an article off the internet to show to the sub. Idiots... :fail_a: . |
