As with converter proggy, there are lots of paid one but I found a free one (though, you should Google yourself in future :). Here's one of the choices, I haven't tried it though so I don't know if it works. You may download it here: mp3 to midi converter or you can look thru other links in this Google search for other programs that might also do the job: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=free+mp3+to+midi+converter

Though, most ringtones are paid and its bs to pay $1.99 for a stinking ringtone if you ask me. I'd try the converter thing and see if outcome is any good, the program is free afterall. If you have other software you may be able to split the frequency to separate audio from voice to a certain extent which would yield a better conversion to MIDI. Though, MIDI are the oldskool ringtones just to make the point, perhaps it's time to upgrade your phone :).

Andy Administrator Posted: 4 Feb 2006 21:53 GMT Total Posts: 939 | I've tried converters and they suck. It only gets pitch and volume, you have to tell it what instruments to use, and even then you have to mess with so many settings to get it to sound recognizable it's not even funny. Just google for "midi" and you'll turn up plenty of places to download MIDIs for free. |
Nintendork Probe Posted: 5 Feb 2006 08:48 GMT Total Posts: Edit | I'll keep searching. I was in a rush and didn't have time for Google. |

stephendonnelly88 Dragoon Posted: 7 Feb 2006 18:51 GMT Total Posts: 97 | Um, yeah, ZKostick is right on the money here. MIDI is really not an "equivalent" format of the MIDI format.
If you're looking for a specific song in the Midi format, this website has a lot to offer. And, it's free too.......
