Total Posts: 2486 | Well, they better be just music since voice will not be understandabe in a MIDI file (they don't support voice, only music notes). As with converter proggy, there are lots of paid one but I found a free one (though, you should Google yourself in future :). Here's one of the choices, I haven't tried it though so I don't know if it works. Total Posts: 939 | They're not worth it. Try to find a MIDI file of the MP3 file pre-made by someone else, as that would be an actual translation of the file instead of some incomprehensible auto-conversion. |

Total Posts: 2486 | Yeah, that would be as good idea for a music w/ voice things. Though, most ringtones are paid and its bs to pay $1.99 for a stinking ringtone if you ask me. I'd try the converter thing and see if outcome is any good, the program is free afterall. If you have other software you may be able to split the frequency to separate audio from voice to a certain extent which would yield a better conversion to MIDI. Though, MIDI are the oldskool ringtones just to make the point, perhaps it's time to upgrade your phone :).

Total Posts: 939 | I've tried converters and they suck. It only gets pitch and volume, you have to tell it what instruments to use, and even then you have to mess with so many settings to get it to sound recognizable it's not even funny. Just google for "midi" and you'll turn up plenty of places to download MIDIs for free. |

Total Posts: 97 | Um, yeah, ZKostick is right on the money here. MIDI is really not an "equivalent" format of the MIDI format.
If you're looking for a specific song in the Midi format, this website has a lot to offer. And, it's free too.......
