Total Posts: 1676 | Hey I just checked the download stats at ticalc.org and the ti-89 just pulled ahead of the ti-83! I'm glad because all of that rage about the 83 and 83+ se is over and finally the greatest calc is recognised as the best, for at least last week. Either I'm ignorant or the 83 has always been hailed publically as the best calc for some odd reason.

Total Posts: 2486 | yeah, i'm glad to see that too. it's about time actually! i'm also kind of tired of constant inflow of useless basic programs for 83+/SE which is actually very annoying (it's already impossible to find anyhting in ticalc.org's archive...).

Total Posts: 623 | The 83/+/SE is "the best" (said with extreme sarcasm) because the general users of TI calcs are complete idiots. I saw someone asking how to "type that little arrow"... Then they look at the 89 and nearly faint. (I showed mine to a couple of friends. Took them 2 seconds to say that it was too complicated for them.) And there's about 1300 games in the 83+ basic games section... Most of them are probably worthless little "move the dot around" type things. Then you hit the 89 sections... Those are nice. :-)
