Posted: 15 Jul 2003 15:29 GMT Total Posts: 2486 | no, you'll have to do some heavy duty work and chances are you can mess up your lcd screen. not to say it can be somewhat hard to find a piece of plexiglass just the right size and you may need to cut it yourself. other than that, you'll only need some wires and a switch. i wouldn't try that unless you think you'll be able to live w/t your calc in case you break it.

the side effects they said was that in normal light when the backlight is turned off the screen is more dim so it's a little harder to read... but i'm sure it's not horrible.

Posted: 16 Jul 2003 21:37 GMT Total Posts: 2486 | dunno 'bout that, usually backlight make it easier to see even in normal light. there was a guy in my school who had a backlit calc (it was either 86 or 89, i forget which). he had a whitish backlit with a bit of green in it. it worked wery well and was really nice in health class when litght was off while watching movies. i'm not sure if its all worth it coz you may damage your lcd and render your calc useless.
