Can you uninstall shells such as Ion and MirageOS from the graphing calculator?

If you can, How do you do it?

all you have to do is delete all of the files associated with that shell. for mirageOS, all you have to do is delete the flash application, MirageOS. ion has 3 or 4 files (A, ion, and like 1 other)

Barrett, I looked around all my files in my comp and the calc and I couldn't find what you spoke of. Can you be a little more specific on where I can find these flash applications and expose of them.

thanks

okay..i think i can help, deleate prgmION, IONZ, A and ION. TO find these, press {2nd} {mem} {2} and you can scroll the calc's memory...press {del} to deleate. MirageOS is the same, but it's at the was bottom.

Hey moony526,
Games usually come with many different things such as readme files, screenshots, some even include program sources. You only need (and can) put files with the followind extensiong onto your calc:
.8xp - this is a program for TI-83+/SE
.8xg - this is a group or batch of programs for TI-83+/SE

Put these files onto your calc and put an appropriate shell too. You can have as many shells as you like as long as their files are not named the same. MirageOS should run most ION games but I personally like to use ION because I only have 83+ and want to save memory. MirageOS is much more powerful than ION though.

Often you'll also find files with .83p or .83g extensions, these are TI-83 files and will probably not work on your TI-83+/SE unless its a Basic program. Make sure you note what shell your games require.

Hope this helps, feel free to ask more questions.
