Hey, I bet Texas Insturments would be willing to advertise you, maybe, but I mean, they advertise you ( thats how I found this site out), maybe you should e-mail them or call them, they might work something out, I mean, if it wasn't for this site and my math teacher I would have never bought a Ti83+ Silver Edition!

Mark

( I think this WILL work)

Note: I already posted this in the news section but I think u guys should read it here too. : )

Ever since I brought my TI-83 Plus Silver Edition with Super Mario and Asteroids to school in the beginnig of September, people bought TI-83 Plus Silver Editions just so they have a calculator to play it on!!! Makes you wonder, are students actually doing Math on their calculators or playing. That's just a funny thought, students buying calculators not for Math, but for games.

I originally got an 89 about 2/3 the way through 9th grade. I rarely actually used it for math... It had, shall we say, exceptionally good graphics for gamin. *cough, cough* (I had been using an 83 Plus on and off previously to that.) But that's my two cents.

Same here, I got my 83 for math but played games on it too. Then i got my 89 mostly for games. Hehe.
TI does advertise us but they obviously don't pay us and neither does EBGames is no one actually buys anything after following our link. However if someone will use it, we'll get a credit and hopefully earn enough to get prizes for some cool contest (i have some nice ideas for a contest btw).
Oh yes, 89 still has some pretty darn good graphics for gaming :).

When I got my 83+ in about December last year, the first thing I looked for was games. Later I was inspired to make MathSci, and I used it often during math class (of course on the second day or so we spent nearly an hour teaching each other how to use them except I was the only one not being taught lol). When I'm not in math class I've been gaming, and when people at lunch noticed I had the same calculator as they did they say "hey, I want that!! I don't know what the heck I'm doing so you do it!!" or "I wanna play Zelda!" If I had a couple hundred bucks to waste I'll probably get a 92+ for gaming because the graphics are so nice...key word waste lol

Well, if you do decide to wasted money go get a Voage 200. Its just a bit more expensive than 92+ but is a lot better and has more memory. Its also newer and TI may decide to discontinue 92+ sooner or later.

Hey, it's a forum. People go off on tangents all the time.

Although I haven't checked lately I've noticed that V200 doesn't have much in terms of programs (or not like the 92+ anyway). Besides, wouldn't the 92+ be worth more or somethin like that when it's discontinued? lol just a thought.

Yeah big tangent ;) .
