Posted: 29 Oct 2003 16:35 GMT Total Posts: 2486 | MirageOS is a shell for the TI-83+/SE series of calcs. For 89 there are PreOS, UniversalOS, KerNo and others. Many programs also come as "nostub" which means that they're exectuable and don't need any shell. Other older programs may need a shell and possible libraries, get UniversalOS in that case. Though, about all the games we have here are nostub (look at the Shell label to see what you need to run your programs).

Kerno isn't a kernel (another word for shell), it's suppose to help you NOT have a kernel. It's purpose is to help nostub programs be more stable.
All the others are not updated. DoorsOS is ok, but nothing for it is better than PreOS. Same with UniversalOS |

I actually think TI made some software or hardware changes to the V200 that make it more stable for TSRs. You still need the patch most of the time, but there are a few TSRs that don't need it. |
