Does the old graphlink support the 84 series? Also, is the gray link any faster than the black cable or vice versa?

EDIT: Well, I figured it out and it seems to be a better choice to get the gray cable (plus it's cheaper) I'll just have to use my brother's 83+ for a rom image when I program.

Umm, gray cable is for mac/pc while black one if for pc only. Other than that, they're the same. And yes, you can use gray cable with 84 if you use TI-Connect. Tho, I suggest you stick with usb on your 84 since its much faster.

Z, I know that the USB is like, a million times faster, but I don't care! I have my reasons for this! I am not that stupid. Also, I have another question. Will I be able to still use TI-Connect with the graylink cable?

Edit
Um, if you really need a ROM dump, you may be able to ask someone very nicely. (No, I don't have one.)

If you want to test out programs on your computer and emulate a 83+/83+SE, try the Flash Debugger that TI themselves makes. You can find it [Here].

Yes, gray link works fine with TI-Connect and I used it that way till it died on me (or well, TI-Connect stopped liking it but TI-Graph Link still works with it) and I had to buy a usb cable...
