83plusprgmer Probe Posted: 11 Feb 2005 19:25 GMT Total Posts: 9 | Is there any way that I can create a program by having a program create it. I am currently working on Linux for TI's, and for the ./a.out command, I need to beable to create a program with simple commands. Ion does this when you install it. When you run prgmIONZ, and it's done installing, it creates prgmA.
Please help!! |

Then he just selected the string hit enter and it actually ran the program! This doesn't actually create the program, but you can always use the sub( command to edit the string within the program and what not...it might be a solution to your problem.
Note that this was on a TI-86. |

Ray Kremer Ultralisk Posted: 14 Feb 2005 08:14 GMT Total Posts: 310 | I assume you mean he 2nd-RCL'ed the string to the home screen, took off the quote marks, and hit ENTER, thus running the program code. Strings aren't executable. |
