Is anyone making a BASIC editor for windows that works on the TI-83+ amd TI-84+ families? I really need one, they kicked out the TI connect one and I need one until they put it back in. :img19:

What do you mean by "kicked out"? You should be able to get the TI-Graph Link program, which allows you to edit any program, and you can send things to your calc if you're using a Graph Link cable (which I'm assuming you're not).Try looking here for that program (I'd go straight to the location but I'm getting cannot find server crap :/ )

Yea I'm not using a GraphLink cable (I'm using USB)

Here's the thing. So far the only 1 I know that works for USB is the one that was in TIConnect. My TI84+SE doesn't have a cable besides the USB. I need stuff from this place (and ticalc.org) that work on USB. So far nothing outside education.ti.com does. That's what I personally need. & I bet lots others do too. :img13:

Only TiLP will work with usb, that is not counting TI-Connect. You can still use TI Graph Link program to edit and write up your programs then save them and send to your calc via TI Connect or TiLP. Though, TI Connect might also have a program editor, I can't remember for sure. Well, if you want to try TiLP, go to ticalc and run a search to grab a copy. It's really picky so hopefully you'll have more luck running it than some others around here.

Hey zkostik, if you read the first post you'd know they got rid of it.
(Anyway it takes forever to send, this new versions worse than the beta version)

I know Graph Link is slow as hell but at least it works and doesn't give all the bs like TI Connect. I guess whatever works for you man.

If i had time and thee knowledge of how to program for comps (I'm mostly calc and web scripting) I'd make one, because I have pined for a good one for a long time. Eventually, though, I got so fast at basic that it would have been faster than typing.

you can write a program with graph link, then click the "Save As" button, and it is on your comp. it can also open BASIC programs, so you can edit them later if you want.

Once you save them, send them to your calc through TI-Connect or TiLP, and problem solved...
