hi, i'm new here and this is my first post =)

i recently resetting ALL apps/ram on my ti 84+. of course, i made a back up of the apps before hand but i noticed that when i go into the y= function, when u put the blinking cursor onto the '=' sign, there's usually a function that allows u to change the = sign to > or <. but once i resetted it, i couldnt find it anymore.. ='(

and also in the y= function, there's supposed to be 'x=' on the top left but now it's not there =O

That's provided by one of the apps, not sure which it is. Of course deleting all the apps will do that. I'm taking a stab in the dark, but I think either transformation graphing or inequlaity graphing does that. You'll have to try sending different apps back (and running them!) to see which one provides that.

You also shouldn't get too used to using them. Not all calculators have them. It's not that hard to visually see > and < graphing, and inverting a function (to graph in terms of x) is something you'll need to know how to do by hand for calculus.

i backed up all apps before i resetted it and i restored everything after, still doesnt work =(
i'm not relying on it, in fact, i've never used it before although it might be useful in the future.

Yes, that's the Inequalz app. All it does though, besides barely letting you graph x= lines, is shade above if it's > and below if it's <. Which is correct.

You need to actually run the app and tell it to install itself.
