How do you enter a cube root on TI-89 calc? I know how to enter a square root obviously but I can't seem to fin info on how to enter a cube root.

just do ^(1/3)

that's to the one third power. it's the same as the cube root.

So, for example, if I wanted the cube root of x-14*7 I would do:

(x-14*7)^(1/3)

(and on that note, ^(1/2) is the same as the square root, etc... just 1 divided by whatever root you want)
