Well it really depends on your teacher and if he or she uses any of the apps that come pre loaded, my geometry teacher used cabri Jr. Otherwise most of the apps come with 3 or 4 different versions of the same thing in different languages (I am assuming you have a Ti-84 here)you can tell because they will be spelled different or have part of the language in the name (eg. Periodic, celldask). I would start here, otherwise go nuts and just make sure you don't delete any apps you may need. There are numerous desscusions about how to delete things right now so I won't go into that. I am also going to say that this only frees up archive space (corect me if I'm wrong) and you can use ths space to archive programs giving more ram for one or a few unarchived programs to use. you can't run archived programs unless they use a shell like mirage OS. So if you run out of space archive a few programs.

Apps use no ram other than a few bytes for their names. You should archive programs.

The answer to your question can be found here, in the FAQ.
You know, maybe you should try reading the manual.

Actually app names aren't stored in RAM at all. Apps use no RAM at all unless they make appvars.

yah, pretty much.

Ha! i didnt revive a dead topic this time, i remembered to check the date!

By the way, if you press 2nd then + (mem) then press 2 you can select the programs, press enter then the program will be archived, Correct? Does this free up the same amount of ram as deleting the program?

Yup that is correct.

I guess I'm good at rambling then. :)

Actually, no it doesn't, because it needs 9-15 bytes of RAM for the program listing.
