what if you made "calculators owned" a required field? place a note beside it that says: "if you do not own a calculator, please enter 'none' in this field"

honestly, i think this would make it alot easier for us to help new guys... (i wanted to say nooblets... and i will say nooblets...)

I don't see a reison to have much more than 2 a 89, because it has the most advansed softwhere and you can use it on standerdized tests that alow cacls, and a V200 or 92+ because they have a big screen and kbd which might be cool.

Actually it would make more sense _not_ to have a v200 or 92+ if you have an 89. Better have one z80 and one 68k if youre gonna have two :) And the v200 and 92+ is useless, IMHO, because you cant use them on College Board tests (AP, SAT, PSAT...) and they are bulky to carry, and many teachers wont let you use one in math class simply because theyll think youre surfing the web in a test (Really, this happened to me before !)

Yeah, a 83 series calc and a 68k is all you really need. And perhaps a TI-85/86 if you feel like it.

83+ is a bit faster to use, IMO, and its regression features don't screw up as much. (My 89T doesn't seem to like its own regression features.)

83x's are more n00b-friendly, even though some peeople can't figure out how to do more than add and subtract.

yes lots of people think that the 89 is complex and hard to use but once you understand it is much more powerful.

True. But it is still harder to use for non-technologically efficient people such as ourselves.
