i am working on a pc RPG (created with RPG maker 2003)
called Northern Craft
it is going to be a series (roughly about 2-3 hours for each of the 4 games)
hopefully if its good enough and everyone likes it i will make a spawn off series

Don't be shy with screenshots (when you have them).

Press the "Print Screen" button on any Windows-compatible keyboard, and then paste the image to wherever (it "prints" it to the clipboard).

Upload it anywhere, like photobucket.com/arppictures/lolzomg.jpg and write this:<img src="http://photobucket.com/arppictures/lolzomg.jpg">Replace the stuff in quotes with the link. You ought to know how to do that, else you don't deserve to USE the internet.

That was example code. I specifically did not check the html box. That way my code would appear as text. It was to show you how to do it. Please fix it now.

Awesome, another RPG Maker 2003 user! It's too bad that you're using the default graphics, though.

http://charas-project.net/ is an excellent site. With a little practice, you can use the resources to make custom characters, battle sets, and face sets. Even better is the downloadable character maker, because it is ridiculously easy to use. Otherwise, I hope your project goes well... (I'm working on one, too... it'll be neat to compare them!)

It's just png... the character maker I showed you creates the right format automatically. If you're still not sure, just send me a personal message or email me with what sort of characters you'd like, and I'll create them for you. I like doing that sort of stuff...

PNG is a common image format. I daresay it is the best image format.

I agree. It's the default format that Macromedia uses, isn't lossy, and has rather small image sizes.

well technically just the way its presented, but heres a screeny

basically you select the person
and THEN the attack
and then it just waits for it to charge up
and then you attack
nifty eh?
and
to find how to change it
it should be in battle properties
when your looking at the AI changes
i also made an item called "food"
to give the illusion of the need of food
so it looks like hes been traveling afar
cus he has

DEMOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
just need to make the gamedisk
and post it
and then y'all need to look for Nothern Craft Demo v1
in the pc section

I'll be sure to try it... but I really think that you should have custom characters and enemies.

Oh, I thought that YOU made your own. I personally like the ATB system that's built in.

I don't think CG accepts .rar or 7-zip files, but those are somewhat smaller, I think. Also, you could always email an admin the file...

If you are using the built in zipper for WinXP is it the worst to use, get WinRAR, and still make it a .zip, but select it to compress as much as possible

Actually, though, including the Run Time Package is necessary if you want people who don't have RPG maker 2003 to be able to play your game.
