I'm offically announcing a 1.5 year in the making project in TI-BASIC for the 83+... Orignally I was using CODEX and still will, but I will also be using things like xLIB 0.3 and I will also be open to suggestions... Here is the low down.

Codename : Project Omega
Real Name : (Undecided)
Type of game : Adventure (NES Zelda)+ RPG'ish (FF1)+ Puzzle (SNES Zelda)+ Missions...
Type of Graphics : 8x8 (or more) tile maps and sprites. All in Monocrome
Any Intresting Things : For the battles it will be ATB run, but they are all top down and you fight in a 16x16 battle "zone" with free movement (ala Shining Force)
Number of Characters : 6... The orignal 6 that where planned to be in a complete XCAPEI. (Kain, Ryda, Xero, Larc, Edge, and Enna)
Estimated Length of Gameplay : Well with new chapters being made and will be released... It looks as though it will be open ended. But for an estimate, 50+.

And no I will not post screenshots until I get the first chapter done.

Any thoughts/ideas?

Okay... I've had a major setback...

It looks as if xLIB 0.3 can't make 8x8 or 6x6 sprite maps... And how the game is set up I need those... So any help... Also the matrixes for things like a town (24x24) and the Battle Zone (16x16) are HUGE while a string isn't... Any ideas or help? I really need a xLIB type of prog that reads strings! It would be really helpful!

Edit
Kerm Martian is making a string to tile reader that uses hex. Once he gets it complete, I will let you know. It will be for 8x8 sprites.

Yeah, well, they don't actually host anything, so that is the downfall. I am trying to find a decent place that allows cgi for free, and found a couple, but they haven't sent me a reply, wether I am denied or accepted.

hrm... The clipping is there... but SLOW! It takes .98 (I timed it) seconds to move on a black 83+ (I try to make everything FAST on an 83+ black) I need a speedy routine... Mine is an entire 400+ Byte program! just for wall detection!
