Yes, it's that time again, spring sports. The time of soccer. The best sport in the world. And everyone else should agree with me on that last statement.

soccer's a winter sport here... But yeah I think it's the best sport (that i've played at least).

I played basketball 1 season like 10 years ago but that doesn't count, although I think bball might be better than soccer.
Our team is in the semi finals of playoffs in our area and division (CIF Southern Section Division 2AA).. We're one of the top 5 teams in Orange County california (lots of schools in orange county) and at one point we were number 16 in california (lots and lots of schools in california).

Tomorrow we play Sunny Hills High School and we're gonna win. Then we're gonna probably play MLK highschool (at the Pond in aheheim where the ducks play (and one of those indoor soccer teams that i've seen once.. like the splash or something weird))and we're gonna beat them as well. and then we're gonna go to state and eventually play at the ARCO arena in sacramento (where the sacramento kings play) and we're gonna win that game as well.

Then in SPRING we have a very good baseball team. We won our CIF section in 2001 and 2002 and came close last year but we're ranked very high this year and could possibly do it.

Go Cougars!

i hate 2 tell you, but football is definetly the best sport in the world. i play football and although our season ended in november, we started practice back up in January [that's dedication]. football is the most hardcore sport out there. it works ur whole body, and it works it hard. our football, soccer, and bball teams all got into CCS (Central Coast Section) this year, yet all lost. football first round because of horrible referees :( [does any1 else think all refs r horrible? or is that just my paranoia?] and soccer/bball both lost in second round. Our varsity soccer {Menlo-Atherton High School} is going to be much better next year and i hope we get into the state finals next year.

P.S.-
I hope u guys won today Barrett.

Nope, soccers the best sport. To play.
If you watch it (Spanish Channels) it is rather boring.

Golf is much harder. It is entirely independant and you have to hit a 1-1/4" ball with a curved faced spring-metal wieght on the end of a long flexable stick anywhere between 300 and 1800 feet while trying to make it into a 4 and 1/2 in hole. You also don't get second chances. I also have to admit, it is only a hair more exciting to watch that than paint dry.

while golf requires great amounts of finesse and concentration, football is by far the most physical sport out there, with hockey and lacrosse coming close second and third. Besides,
don't try and tell me you don't watch the super bowl, EVERYONE DOES!!

yes, i will admit, i've seen some of my school's {M-A} soccer games and they are physical, but it's sparodic. football, if you're on the field, you are hitting or getting hit and doing it hard

golf isn't really a sport :img13:

I think football is a rather boring sport, and I have watched the superbowl 1.5 times this life. I much prefer what the rest of the world calls football.

You do a lot of running around in soccer, rather than beating each other senseless, which is rather lame.

You have just found one of the very few guys who wouldn't give it a second thought if the Super Bowl didn't exist this year. In other words, I don't watch it. From what I've heard Rugby (sp?) is a heck of a lot mroe physical than Football. They don't wear pads either.

Rugby is the most physiscally demanding sport out there, it's like football without the pads.

I watch every foodball game thats on TV. Football is the best sport.

Quick synapsis
Football is allright, Hockey is good, Soccer is fun to play, boring to watch, baseball sucks, lacrosse is good, basketball I'm kind of neutral with.

"From what I've heard Rugby (sp?) is a heck of a lot mroe physical than Football. They don't wear pads either."
FYI: rugby they do use pads, and it is just as physical as football (i've played both)and you spelled rugby right.

"You do a lot of running around in soccer, rather than beating each other senseless, which is rather lame."
another FYI: football requires not only brute strength, but also agility, dexterity, careful planning, and above all, STRENGTH OF MIND

What I notice is the players of the same sport are all alike. It just goes to show your chosen sport reflects your personality quite well.

I know of a couple of players on my high school team that are extremely smart. (And pretty good players as well.) They're not professionals though, so that really doesn't apply...

rofl barrett, too true. I got most improved in orchestra, but that was only because I was good, but the conductor didn't think i was good at the beginning of the year.

having "decent" grades is very subjective you know. A B on my transcript would be indecent to me ;p
