JcCorp Probe Posted: 4 Oct 2006 05:22 GMT Total Posts: Edit | I found Trillian to be a bit more stable and user-friendly, but that's just me. GAIM is still a fine piece of work. ^.^ |
greenorange Goliath Posted: 4 Oct 2006 06:44 GMT Total Posts: 199 | Yes, GAIM is a very neat program - I use it and find it very easy to work with.
If you dont need the voice features of gmail or msn, and can live with crappy file transfers, GAIM is awesome. I dont need that crap anyway, so it helps - logs me in my gmail, both AIMS, ICQ, MSN, and Yahoo. |

EDIT [dsp]: The c is lowercase... wouldn't want him to have a fit again!
EDIT [allynfolksjr]: I'll capitalize it if I want to. :)

zedd Ultralisk Posted: 4 Oct 2006 19:05 GMT Total Posts: 428 | i just got trillion..... it works great....
the only thing i don't like about gaim/trillion.... is that if i'm away from my computer for awhile...... it automatically disconnects..... -this is not much of a problem, but i'd rather not have to reconnect everytime-
is there some kind of plugin i have to activate?? or do i have to live w/ it??
---and i love the sounds that trillion makes.... it's like an airplane *ding*
i kind of like trillion better....... just my Overall opinion..... is there another type of program??..... w/e

Captain_America Probe Posted: 5 Oct 2006 04:12 GMT Total Posts: Edit | I just started using gaim as well. One thing that bothers me about it is that it lacks the blinking feature that aim had. I am referrring to when someone messages you, the conversation will blink in the taskbar. Without this I never know when I get imes, then I check the window an hour later and someone messaged me 300000000 times. Is there anyway to turn this back on? |
