The processor is an intel celeron 566 1.5v. I was woundering, if I were to want to put it into a computer that currently has a pentium 2 processor in it, running at 333 mhz, would I have to change any settings on the mother board, or is this just a bad idea all together. If you need any more information just ask and I will look.
Thanks |

Although, that is how i did it for my HP laptop, so it would make sense for it to be the same way for a desktop.

Thanks again
EDIT: I spelled some stuff wrong.

If vols are the only thing that differs then most motherboards either have switches or jumpers that can change the voltage. If the models are different then you're SOL.

The computer I had wanted to transfer it into was a pentium 2 but it was one of the slot loading generation so there is no place to put the Celeron processor. It's to bad really I guess I will have to keep my eye out for a garage sale computer that I could put it into. :) I'v actually seem those before one was for like $50 but I didn't really need an old computer at the time. |
