On the 83/84 series, all programs will download into the PRGM folder.
You cannot change this. |
roary11oreo Probe Posted: 29 Aug 2004 18:17 GMT Total Posts: 2 | So basically I cant download any games over 23k MB? Thats dumb. |
Kupo Probe Posted: 29 Aug 2004 18:52 GMT Total Posts: 11 | App is short for Application... Not that you needed to know that... And 24k MB is incorrect. K stands for Kilobyte, a measurment of space that a program takes up. MB as you proberbly know is Megabyte, which is aslo a measurment of how much space a program takes up. So don't put them together. It bugs me. |

Anyway, not everyone is as knowledgeable as you are. Using "So don't put them together. It bugs me." wasn't necessary.

Kupo Probe Posted: 30 Aug 2004 05:03 GMT Total Posts: 11 | well then, the "other" person shouldn't be worried about space, 24,000 MB? thats as much as my Computer has left. (80 GB overall). AND im nto knoweglable, isea jsut threwin big fncy wroeds arodund tyrin to be specail.

Yes. Flash Apps go into the Flash ROM. They are the only things that appear in the APPS menu. All other programs and file types go into RAM unless they are archived, in which case they are in the Flash ROM. |
Kupo Probe Posted: 30 Aug 2004 12:15 GMT Total Posts: 11 | Ah, so if you want to have like 200 games on your calc, you just archive them and they won't take up your sparse 24kb RAM? |

Kupo Probe Posted: 30 Aug 2004 19:03 GMT Total Posts: 11 | So what is RAM for? I guess maybe for an OS, but i don't know what i'm typeing about yet...
P.S. Ummmm... this is totally off-topic, but Can you just delete anyone's messeges? Might want to get that fixed...

The RAM is for the programs you're running to be stored. Read your manual, the 'memory' section, It'll explain it. |
cgmstrojan14 Probe Posted: 31 Aug 2004 15:27 GMT Total Posts: 1 | I would please like to know where I download games from. I don't know how I do it. |
Kupo Probe Posted: 31 Aug 2004 18:57 GMT Total Posts: 11 | Ok cgmstrojan, the games are in the upper left hand corner of the site. I know its kinda hard to see, maybe they should CHANGE the COLOR. The FAQ is at the bottom of the page, you don't need to scroll down, its just right of the navigation bar. (if this didnt' explain it, ask somebody else...)
And, on the topic of memory: Do games automatically archive themselves? Because Final Fantasy Tales of Magic is like 440kb... |
