I just bought a Ti-89 titanium and i heard it was the best calculator... so what is this i hear about Ti-92+?
Also, i made this discusiion because i would like some games, my friend has doom, and under games for the titanium there is only one listed. WHere do i find games? Can i download games for other calculators? And, can any of this possibly harm me? oh well just send some help

92+ has a qwerty keyboard, so it can't be used on some national exams.
The titanium has various compatability issues. You can use regular 89 games if you use ghostbuster and hw3patch, but even then some games reset my data. (Ahem... tetris...) I suggest tankers.

The 92+ has the same specs (pretty much) as the TI-89.

The v200 is the same as the TI-89T.

But the 92's and v200 have qwerty keyboards, and that means they're banned from most tests and some classes.

The 89t has problems running regular 89 asm/c programs. So try runing the HW3patch and then use ghostbuster to run regular 89 programs on your 89t. Both programs can be found in this site's program->89t section.

And, of course, read all your readmes.

I just went to the games page.. and it has a bunch listed. Can i use any of those games? I don't see anything saying games are specific to a calculator.

when you click on the games tab it should load a list of calculators, just click on the one that yours is. Btw, 68k is 89/92.

Hey, I'm a developer for TI-89 stuff untill this new word of a souped up 89 came around at the end of last school year. I waited all summer for it to become available in baton rouge where i live, and it came out like in late august or something.

The TI-89 Titanium is THE ultimate TI graphing calculator, hands down. The v200 and the 92+ can suck my circuitry. I've actually noticed that it's faster than the 89 (pss, to make it faster, get rid of some of those flash apps you wont ever use...). The 92+ was just a marketing thing that ti used to get college kids to buy. It's really the same thing as the regualar ti-89, it just looks different. the qwerty keyboard just looks cool, that's all. TI finaly got honest, and put the v200 into an affordable realistic calculator that wasn't meant to suck college kids money that they could better use to buy a laptop. dont worry, kido, you've got the reall thing: The best TI graphing calculator that the TI's secret HQ will let us know about.peace.

Considering the main advantages of the 89t is more memory, it doesn't make it a better calculator. The functions are identical afaik, and the speed difference may make a few milliseconds difference.

You do know that the 92 and its Plus Module predate the 89, right? And the 92 Plus predated the HW2 89? Why shouldn't the V200 predate the 89Ti?

>the qwerty keyboard just looks cool, that's all.

No, it is cool. The wide screen is as well.

The price difference is what, $40? That's just a little over a quarter of the cost of the 89Ti. It's not like the V200 is twice the price of the 89Ti. For that matter, you're making this out to be a war between the two. Most people consider them to be the same calculator.
